Artwork

A select curation of (some of) my artwork.

During junior year, I constucted an artist book as part of my VIS minor. The following showcases a selection of pages included in my artist book, along with some cutouts (which were overlaid some pages, attached by wire). Images were either drawn with pen, painted with gouache, drawn with hard/soft pastelles, or some combination of these mediums:

Another junior year project. Artist statement: Paintings of organs are digitally altered, superimposed on red, blue, and green backgrounds, representing the RGB color vectors that dictate a visual digital space. The way we visually process information, such as color and light, requires several intra-neuronal abstractions and simplifications. I explore the connection between these physiological abstractions and simplications and the applications of color in both digital spaces and art.
